3 COFFEE MOCKTAILS THAT’LL BLOW YOUR MIND

3 COFFEE MOCKTAILS THAT’LL BLOW YOUR MIND

We applaud all of you who are persevering with Dry January this month. We’re here to help you through the longest month of the year with three delicious coffee mocktail recipes that will honestly blow your mind when you try them!

Whether you fancy reaching for something refreshing or something super indulgent, these alcohol-free cocktails will make you feel a bit better about not reaching for a glass of wine or a G&T after a long week.
If you’re having more than one, we recommend switching to decaf to avoid the coffee jitters at bedtime. Staring at the ceiling at 3am is never fun!

1. C&T – THE ICED COFFEE’S FIZZY BIG BRO

Little's Coffee & Tonic

We know this sounds weird but trust us. This super-refreshing, caffeinated kick was created by Swedish roaster Koppi, who’ve been serving Kaffe Tonic on their menus for years now. We’ve put our twist on the original with our vanilla-flavoured Nespresso capsules. Give it a whirl and you won’t regret it. The vanilla and lemon complement each other perfectly. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Little’s Vanilla espresso or a small, strong cup of Ethiopian premium instant coffee
  • Tonic water – we recommend Fever-Tree Mediterranean
  • 1 lemon
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  1. Add plenty of ice to a large tumbler or a gin glass and pour a good helping of tonic water over the top so your glass is three quarters full
  2. Make your vanilla espresso and immediately pour on top of your tonic and ice.
  3. Garnish with a slice of lemon, stir it up and drink!

Tip: if you don’t have a coffee machine, try it with a cup of strong Ethiopian premium.

2. COFFEE SODA

Little's Coffee Soda

For this coffee soda, you need to make a quick coffee syrup that adds the perfect level of sweetness when mixed with sparkling water. We’ve used Little’s vanilla flavoured instant coffee for the syrup and the vanilla makes the finished drink really creamy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of freshly made Little’s vanilla coffee
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • Sparkling water
  • 1 lemon
  • Ice

Method

  1. First up, make your coffee syrup. Add your freshly made cup of coffee to a small pan. Half fill the cup you used for your coffee with sugar and pour into the pan with your coffee
  2. Heat the mixture until it’s reduced by half and formed a nice thick syrup
  3. Pour a good drizzle of your syrup into a glass and top with crushed ice (to do this we put some ice cubes into a freezer bag and smashed it up with a rolling pin)
  4. Top with plenty of sparkling water and a twist of lemon on top. Stir it up and enjoy!

3. IRISH CREAM WHITE RUSSIAN

Little's Irish Cream white Russian

There probably aren’t many drinks more indulgent than this one to be honest, so it’s best saved ‘til after dinner! A cross between a White Russian and a delicious creamy milkshake, it’ll be hard to stop at one. Eek!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of freshly made Little’s Irish cream coffee
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk (cow or dairy-free)
  • A couple of squares of milk or dark chocolate
  • Ice

Method

  1. As per the coffee soda recipe, make your syrup first. Add your freshly made cup of Irish cream coffee to a small pan. Half fill the cup you used for your coffee with sugar and pour into the pan with your coffee
  2. Heat the mixture until it’s reduced by half and formed a nice thick syrup
  3. Fill a tumbler with ice and milk, then pour a good drizzle of your coffee syrup over the top
  4. Grate your chocolate on top, stir it up and dig in!

Tip: we’re really keen to try this with our chocolate orange coffee and a segment or two of chocolate orange. Try it and let us know if it’s genius.
