Our top revision tips

We know it’s super tough for all you students at the moment. Exams and coursework can really get on top of you, so we’ve put together a list of hot tips to make sure you nail your work without getting stressed in the process.

1. CAFFEINE

First thing's first, caffeine. If you've got some long hours of revision ahead of you, we’ve got your back! Caffeine helps with alertness and productivity, so you can always rely on us to power you through the days when it’s getting a little tough to concentrate. You can grow a tolerance to caffeine’s effects so remember, everything in moderation, folks.

2. TEST PAPERS

Completing passed papers is a fab way of anticipating what to expect on the day. Obviously, it won’t be exactly the same, but it’ll definitely help you know what type of questions will be asked and will make you feel less stressed when you flip that page. Structure is key for these things, it’s beneficial to know how to structure a 2 mark to a 60 mark question so you can knock it out the park!

3. SLEEP

We’re sure you’ve been told how important getting enough sleep is. I know, I know, your parents have probably gone on at you about this, but we’re afraid it’s true! Sleep helps you recover from distractions a lot quicker, your memory will improve AND you’ll make less mistakes too – all making for the perfect student to help you smash those exams. This is where our flavoured decaf range comes in. Decaf coffee is an awesome way to fight those coffee cravings before bed to ensure you get those important eight hours sleep before your exam.

4. FOOD

Making sure you’re fuelled up with the right food is super important to keep you on top form while revising and on your exam days. What you put into your body is very important, so eating regularly and well will really help when it comes to keeping your blood sugars balanced and making sure that your body is getting everything it needs to function properly. We met the awesome guys at California Walnuts at Balance Festival who make the perfect snack to keep you going and to keep that brain switched on. Make sure you’re eating healthy snacks like berries, nuts and wholegrains to ensure you stay on the ball!

5. WATER

Staying hydrated. It’s something you probably don’t think about much, but it’s easy to fall into a pattern of not drinking enough water. It makes our brains work so much faster, so make sure you drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up to prepare for the day. Start as you mean to go on, right?! Keeping hydrated throughout the day will really help you stay focused and keep your attention on your work. Extra tip: make sure you take a water bottle into the exam hall – water also has calming effects on your brain to help with those nerves.

6. NOTES

We found that sticking revision notes around the house can be super helpful, especially in places such as on the bathroom mirror or the kettle. We know it sounds silly, but you’ll be surprised how much you take in while you’re brushing your teeth or making a cuppa! Reading the same thing over and over subconsciously can really make a difference over time.

No need to stress, just remember to sit back and take 5 if it gets a little too much, there’s not much a cup of Joe can’t fix. Good luck with your exams, everybody! You’re gonna ace them!
