Congratulations, you found a silver lid!

Congratulations, you found a silver lid!

Hello and welcome to Silver Lid Gate.

If you’re reading this, you’ve just discovered a silver lid on your jar of Little’s Coffee.

You were told it was black.
It clearly isn’t.

So you scanned the QR code and now you’re here.

You’re probably wondering what’s going on.

Which is reasonable.

We should probably explain.

But before we do, here’s what’s in it for you:

If you collect five of these silver lids and upload a photo, we’ll send you a super exclusive, limited edition, signed photo of Will Little in a silver frame.

Yes, really. This is not a joke.

And the person who collects the most silver lids will win a one-of-a-kind prize
(more on that later).

You don’t need to do anything right now.
Just keep your lids safe.

When you’ve collected five, come back and upload your photo here:

Silver Lid Gate: A Short Story

It all started on a perfectly normal Tuesday.
It was probably raining.
It was definitely cold.

We needed more lids.

Black lids.
The same ones we always use.

So we ordered them.

(And by we, we mean Glenn).

A lot of them.

63,051 to be exact.

When the delivery arrived a few days later…

They were silver.

Not black.

"Whoops," Glenn said.

There were a few nervous laughs.

Then silence.

Will finally said,
“Well… we can’t un-order them.”

Which felt both obvious and deeply unhelpful.

So we had to decide what to do next.

We looked at the lids.
Then at each other.

Then back at the lids, just to be sure.

Operations said:
“We should just use them. They’re perfectly good lids.”

Sales said:
“They look different. People will notice.”

Marketing said:
“This is funny.”

There was a brief debate about what we should do.

Pretending nothing had happened felt wrong.
Throwing them away felt worse.

So in the end, Marketing won.

We decided to tell you about it.

Out loud.
On a label.
With a QR code.

There was no going back.

So a plan was made.

We redesigned the label.
We built this page.
And we ordered a stack of silver photo frames.

The jars were filled.
The silver lids were screwed on.

All 63,051 of them.

They went to supermarkets.
To farm shops and garden centres.
And eventually… to kitchens.

Your kitchen.

The end.

Upload your photo

So, now you’re up to speed…

This is the part where you show us your lids:

Collect five lids and upload your photo here →
(and we’ll send you a signed photo of Will Little in a silver frame.)

Was this the best prize we could think of?

Probably not.

Was it the funniest?

Definitely yes.

And then, there’s the final boss prize.

One of you will go down in Silver Lid Gate history.

The person who collects the most silver lids by the end of April 2026 will win:

The One Of A Kind Completely Unnecessary But Legendary Official Silver Lid Gate Commemorative Silver Sequin Little’s Cushion.

It is:
Silver.
Sparkly.
Completely unnecessary.

There is only one.
And it has absolutely no practical purpose.

Which makes it perfect.

How long will Silver Lid Gate last?

Until the silver lids are gone.

No countdown.
No timer.
No warning.

One day they’ll just disappear.

Black lids will quietly return.
Life will go on.

And Silver Lid Gate will become a chapter in Little’s history.

(Unless you’ve got a framed photo of Will to remember it by.)

The boring bit

A quick note before anyone gets creative…

This is for our 100g premium instant jars only (the ones that are usually black).
You’ll need five silver 100g lids to take part.
Our 50g flavoured jars don’t count - they’re always silver. Nice try though.

UK only. One entry per person.

The Silver Sequin Cushion winner will be chosen based on who collects the most silver lids and sends us proof by the end of April 2026.

Prizes are available while stocks last. No cash alternative.

We reserve the right to end or change Silver Lid Gate at any time if something unexpected happens (which, given the origin of this story, feels appropriate).

By entering, you agree that we can share your photo on our website or social channels.
Winners will be contacted using the details provided.
